It’s a chilly but not uncomfortable 10°C here in Tateshina, not far from Japan’s second highest road which is in some of the routes for tomorrow’s Coast to Coast Twistybutt.

As has become quite welcomed, the Weather Gods have blessed us with a washing of the roads the day before we ride. It’s looking like a fine day across the whole route with 14°C at the start, minimum of 7-10°C up on the Shiga-Kusatsu Doro around mid afternoon, a peak of 25°C in the Ueda region and sunny the whole way.

After scouting, the Road Gods have also heard our prayers and all roads are open. 

Now we must make sure that we are ready. Check your bike thoroughly, prep all your gear and get a good night’s sleep tonight.
