Some days you spring out of bed chomping at the bit and some days you wish you’d never gotten up. This was both of those days.

Turning the key over at 4:20am, it was already 28° and forecast to scorch on up to 36°, so some high altitude, cool mountain river valleys and forested freshness was the plan.

Just a reminder for new comers that we meet at around 4:40am – about 15 minutes before Sunrise! There’s a convenience store near the start, so arrive when you like and stock up as you please. Whether that’s a coffee to chat over and peruse the steeds in the waiting area.
Traditionally we do a quick gather and kick off talk at sunrise with and then everyone filters out when they are ready.
Please don’t expect people with sticks guiding you to your parking or race queens strutting around for photos. Do expect Twistybutts catching up with each other and plenty of pre-ride excitement.
