Well Twistybutts, we’ve done it again. How was that weather!
Time we tipped our helmets to some exemplary efforts.
The rumble of an approaching pack of bikes pricks the ears of any bystanders. A decent size pack will make a real rider’s heart pound and skin tingle! This year’s ‘Rumble Pack Award’ goes to all 20 members of one of the twistybutts most enthusiastic regular groups. Although they may have lost a few of their pack due to mechanical attrition along the way, their rollout from the Pacific Coast was epic. Well done and great effort all! 👍
Their bike threw in the towel at the mere mentioning of pillioning coast to coast. That didn’t stop these two marching straight down to the rental shop and rustling up a more willing steed. And willing it was! Much rubber was rounded and left abandoned under the smiles beamed out from these two going coast to coast! Brilliantly done.
Eco Rider Award goes to a regular pack of single cylinder clutchless adventurers. Once again they tackled the touges and soldiered on all the way to sunset on the Japan Sea. Well done gang!A lot goes into getting the routes from what’s learnt on the road to usable sources of navigation for the Twistybutts. These two diligent legends, Rob & Graham, double, triple and even quadruple checked to polish the routes and bring more alternatives. Cheers gents, you’re a cut above.
Twisted Fossil – Those who once again rode coast to coast this year and have done 7 or more times now. No small feat considering they’ve done at least 3500km of Twistybutting so far!

Well done to all the Twistybutts who made it out for the perfect weather and fantastic roads.
Hope this riding season opener has got you all in sync with your bikes and the road for another great year of rounding rubber ahead.
Next up, calling all Twistybutts for the Kanto Twistybutt in August! More to come on that soon…
